Capsule Geology

The North Memekay (Tower) property is located on an unnamed tributary of the Salmon River, approximately 4.4 kilometres south of the junction of the White and Salmon rivers and at an elevation of approximately 530 metres.

The area is underlain by volcanic basalts of the Triassic Karmutsen Formation and sedimentary rocks of the Triassic Parson Bay Formation. These have been intruded by Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite granodiorites.

Locally, three zones (Tower Central, Tower West and MN-01-05) of north-south trending, narrow (0.05 to 1.0 metre thick) quartz-epidote-sulphide veins are exposed in logging road cuts.

In 2006, logging of drill hole MN-01-05, located near a creek between the Tower Central and West occurrences, returned intercepts as follows:

-42.4 to 43.9: 1.5 metres at 0.106 per cent copper in silicified, epidotic, locally hematitic and brecciated mafic volcanics with 35 per cent quartz-epidote-actinolite-sulphide zones.

-72.4 to 77.0: 4.6 metres at 0.438 per cent copper in silicified, magnetitic mafic volcanics with 35 per cent quartz-epidote-sulphide stockwork zones.

-114.3 to 116.6: 2.3 metres at 0.151 per cent copper in silicified, epidotic porphyritic mafic volcanics with 20 per cent quartz-epidote-sulphide stringers and seams.

(Assessment Report 31811)

The Tower Central zone is located approximately 180 metres to the east of drill hole MN-01-05. Locally, a 1.0 metre thick quartz-epidote-sulphide-malachite breccia zone is hosted by a feldspar porphyry intrusion. The zone strikes 045 degrees and dips nearly vertically. Mineralization consist of chalcopyrite and bornite. In 2010, a select outcrop grab sample (8954) assayed 1.025 per cent copper (Assessment Report 31811).

The Tower West zone is located approximately 200 metres to the west of drill hole MN-01-05. Locally, a 0.1 metre thick quartz-epidote-sulphide-malachite vein is hosted by a intermediate feldspar porphyry intrusion. The zone strikes 185 degrees and dips 80 degrees. Mineralization consist of chalcopyrite and bornite. In 2010, a select outcrop grab sample (8955) assayed 3.12 per cent copper and 7.24 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 31811).

In 2005 and early 2006, Minland Resources Ltd. completed a single diamond drill hole on the property. In 2008, Mr. David McLelland of Auracle Geospatial Science Ltd. completed a spectral analysis study of the property. In 2010, an exploration program consisting of soil, moss and rock geochemical sampling, geological mapping and prospecting was completed. In 2011, Compliance Energy completed a program of airborne electromagnetic, magnetic and scintillometer geophysical surveys on the area.
